The “Queen Bee” surprised her loyal fans (known as the “Beyhive”) with a personal message for the new year as the Grammy Award-winning singer reflected on the year that was 2020. Beyoncé posted the 4-minute video on her Instagram on New Year’s Day, which featured all of her great accomplishments in 2020. The video also showed some unseen footage of her three children: Blue Ivy (age 8) and twins Sir Carter and Rumi (age 3). You can see little Rumi dancing to the “Savage Remix at one point in the video.” We also see an adorable interaction between the twins while they are riding on a golf cart. There were also outtakes from their family photoshoot and footage from Blue Ivy’s studio recording session.
The video also touched on the COVID-19 pandemic, showing how the singer’s BeyGood Foundation helped support Black-owned businesses and others during the quarantines and shutdowns. Other moments feature Beyoncé’s new Ivy Park collection, as well as a few of her gorgeous British Vogue magazine covers. The video also celebrates Beyoncé earning the most 2021 Grammy nominations by an artist who didn’t release an album.
We also see clips from powerful and uplifting speeches she gave to healthcare workers, graduating students, and other memorable moments.
As 2020 came to a close, the R&B superstar gifted many of her closest friends with a diamond necklace that spells out “2020” in a unique way.
There’s no doubt that Beyoncé’s only warming up, and 2021 will be another incredible year for this talented superstar!
