Aurora walked into the studio with pink face paint under her eyes and sat at the keyboard ready to perform. Known for the way her songs sound dreamy and otherworldly, she was about to play The Beatles song Across The Universe.
People watching were curious how she could make it her own since the song is already considered legendary. When she started to sing the song it became clear she was going to lean into the mystical qualities and add harmonies that made it sound just like something she would create herself.

Fans reacted strongly and the cover ended up being voted as one of the best Like A Version performances. One fan wrote: “I think my entire heart just opened up. That was absolutely magical.” The performance has now passed 2.7 million views online.
The performance also reminded some people of how risky it is to attempt this song. David Bowie gave it a try in 1975 and critics tore it apart. Many would never attempt it again but Aurora was brave enough to do it and it paid off. Some even said she managed what Bowie could not, which is high praise.
Like A Version also has artists perform one of their own songs and Aurora chose The Seed. The live version showed again how natural it is for her to use melody and harmony to create a mysterious atmosphere. It gave even more proof that she has the ability to take on a Beatles classic and succeed.

To cover a Beatles song and leave people speechless is not easy. Aurora has also been busy outside of this performance, playing Wembley Stadium, winning the Silver Clef Award for Contemporary Music, and being listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. With all of these achievements, her unique sound has put her in a place where her talent is clear and undeniable.
