Every sports game you go to is going to have its own atmosphere the stadium. Some are exciting, others relaxing, but you come to expect something specific when you arrive.
For those who appreciate baseball, there’s nothing quite as relaxing as going out to enjoy a ballgame at the stadium. There are times, however, when somebody steps outside of the lines, and that is what happened in this case.
When you are a fan, you will stick by your team and you may even have bad feelings about the other team. Perhaps that is why a Yankees fan didn’t hesitate to try to steal a baseball out of the glove of a Dodgers player during the World Series.
Admittedly, there can be drama associated with baseball at times but this spectator went too far. Now, people online are upset over what happened, and they are talking about it.
It started when the Los Angeles Dodgers player, Mookie Betts snagged the ball before it went into the stands. One of the spectators grabbed the glove and opened it to remove the baseball from it. It was a rather aggressive move.
When you look at the footage, you can’t help but notice that there was more than one spectator that was taking part in this plot. Two of them were working together in order to get the ball.

Betts had jumped into the air to catch the ball that was heading his way, but he wasn’t expecting the fan to grab it from him. He spoke after the match, saying: “When it comes to the person in play, it doesn’t matter. We lost. It’s irrelevant. I’m fine. He’s fine. Everything’s cool. We lost the game and that’s what I’m kind of focused on. We got to turn the page and get ready for tomorrow.”
He may have had a good attitude but not everybody was as willing to forgive. This includes The Athletic and ESPN, both of which have identified the fan as Austin Capobianco from Connecticut. He is a 38-year-old season ticket holder.

Capobianco’s friend, John Peter was the one who grabbed the other hand to make sure his buddy could get the ball from the player.
Both Capobianco and his mate were ejected from the stadium after the incident. He talked to ESPN, and said that he had spoken with Peter prior to the game to say that they would do something like that if it happened.
He said: “We always joke about the ball in our area. We’re not going to go out of our way to attack. If it’s in our area, we’re going to ‘D’ up.
“Someone defends, someone knocks the ball. We talk about it. We’re willing to do this.”
After the video went live on social media, people were talking. Most were unhappy with the fact that they did it and even more unhappy that they felt they didn’t do anything wrong. Others just considered it to be an embarrassment.
