Bank Employee Dies At Desk And Nobody Knows For 4 Days

When we go to work in the morning, we don’t often give the end of the day much thought. At times, however, things may not turn out quite as we expected and unfortunately, the unthinkable may sometimes happen.

According to ABC News, Wells Fargo Bank in Arizona was the location of one of those unthinkable situations. It happened on August 20 when a 60-year-old female employee was found dead at her desk.

Denise Prudhomme had clocked into work as usual on August 16 but on August 20, they found her lifeless body at her desk. She had apparently spent about four days at her desk since she had died and nobody knew it.

Wells Fargo said that the area where she worked was an underpopulated part of the bank so people didn’t notice right away that she was dead. There is not yet any word as to why she died.

Authorities from the local police department said that an investigation was underway but there were not any obvious signs of foul play.

Wells Fargo also released a statement, saying: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague, Denise Prudhomme. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we are in contact to ensure they are well supported during this difficult time.”

Counseling will be provided for any employees that have been impacted by this situation. A spokesman for the company said: “We are committed to the safety and wellness of our workforce.”
