Amber Heard ‘Storms’ Out of Court Following Her Lawyer’s Nightmare Performance

A clip of Amber Heard storming out of court in apparent frustration has gone viral. Heard, who was testifying on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in Fairfax, Virginia Courtroom, is embroiled in a $50 million defamation lawsuit brought against her by her ex-husband Johnny Depp.[1]

The highly-publicized trial is now in its fifth week. Heard’s intense cross-examination by Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez saw quite a few heated moments in which the lawyer grilled the actress over her statements and demeanor during a 2016 deposition video.

Meanwhile, the 58-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star, who Heard is countersuing for $100 million, sat passively, never looking directly at Heard but seemingly pleased following the proceedings.

It all started in 2018 when Heard wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post[2] in which she claimed she was a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”

And while Heard never mentioned her ex-husband by name in the article, Depp’s attorneys argue that her insinuation cost irreparable damage to their client’s reputation and extensive financial losses that included future roles and other opportunities.

Both parties accuse the other of physical violence throughout their 15-month marriage, which ended in 2016.

Heard was questioned by Vasquez concerning incidents in which she allegedly physically assaulted her ex-husband.

Meanwhile, as Sheard was being questioned by her own lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, Vasquez repeated objections to Sheard’s testimony and the line of questioning, citing hearsay and lack of evidence — many of which were sustained by Judge Penney Azcarate.

Bredehoft folded, telling Judge Azcarate she had no more questions before the judge instructed Heard to leave the witness stand and take a seat next to her counsel.

However, despite the judge’s very clear instructions, Heard chose not to sit with Bredehoft instead of making a b-line for the side exit.

Judge Azcarate had not even dismissed the jury who watched as Heard strolled out of the court.

It’s common practice for a judge to dismiss the jury before dismissing the court and for defendants to remain seated until instructed otherwise by the courtroom judge.

The clip has since gone viral on social media networks like TikTok, where it’s racked up over 2.5 million views, with uploader @that1girl143 writing: “It was at this moment she knew she lost the case.”

Another comment reads: “The judge said “sit next to ur attorney” she literally walked out out the court room with the judge and jury’s still there.”

While another person posted: “She was supposed to wait for the jury to leave before she stormed out.”

In another exchange on Tuesday, Heard was accused by Depp’s legal team of editing photos of her alleged injuries to make her “face look more red.”

When two photos were presented side by side, Heard said they were taken separately in different lighting.

“The light is on in both of these pictures though,” Vasquez argued. Heard responded by saying one of the lights is a “vanity light.”

“Isn’t it true you just edited these photographs?” Vasquez said to Heard. “And you just enhanced the saturation from one of these photos to make your face look more red.”

Heard denied both claims, stating that she has “never edited a photograph.”
