We have all become accustomed to seeing some rather amazing talent. We see it online in Internet videos as well as on talent shows, including Dancing with the Stars and America’s Got Talent. Of course, there are different levels of talent that are seen on the shows with some of them being worthy of special mention and others just being entertaining, if only for a few minutes. Recently, we had the opportunity to see someone who was not only entertaining, they were downright inspiring in their performance and they ended up earning the ultimate prize as a result.
We saw this moment take place right in front of our faces on America’s got talent in 2021. Perhaps it was because we missed out on some of the entertainment due to the pandemic, but they did their best to keep going and to provide us with what we would always expect to see from such a high quality show. This performance was no exception, but there was more to it than what meets the eye. It was a woman by the name of Jane, who says that she goes by the stage name of Nightbirde who came out and decided to put on her performance. What they didn’t realize is the fact that she not only had talent, she had quite a story to tell.
As it turns out, she has been fighting cancer for a number of years and she admits that the last time she had it checked, the cancer was in her lungs, liver, and spine. Rather than wanting pity for her condition, she wanted to let people know that you don’t have to give up, just because you are dealing with something serious.
That was when she started singing and it was so overwhelming that she ended up getting the Golden buzzer. Simon Cowell even went up on stage to meet her and the other judges were taken back by her performance, including Heidi Klum, who said that her voice was beautiful and gave her chills.
