The iconic actress Goldie Hawn is known for movies like “Private Benjamin,” “Shampoo,” “Overboard,” and “The First Wives Club.” However, the actress first rose to fame on an NBC sketch comedy show called “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In,” and it aired from 1968 to 1970. In her long career in entertainment, Goldie has received lots of award nominations and even an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Cactus Flower,” a 1969 film, for which she also received a Golden Globe Award. Born in Washington, D.C., to the owner of a dance school and a band musician, Goldie has been entertaining people for most of her life.
She started out as a dancer in 1955 when she was only 10 years old. She danced in the corps de ballet of the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo. Then in 1964, she taught at a ballet school and ran the school after she dropped out of college, where she was working on a drama degree. Later, she worked as a go-go dancer in New Jersey at the Peppermint Box and later on, in New York City. Just as fascinating as her career has been Goldie’s romantic life, which has included two marriages and plenty of high-profile boyfriends, including heartthrob actor Tom Selleck. However, since 1983, Goldie has been in love with one man.

Goldie met Kurt Russell when filming a movie in 1966, but the two didn’t become romantically involved until 1983 when they reconnected on the set of the movie “Swing Shift.” One thing that ties the two together is their love of family, and the kids come first, Kurt said in a 2018 interview with the Daily Mail. “Everyone has their marker on what is really important and where you draw the line. For Goldie and me, that core value was this: the kids come first,” he said.
