David Brent was the character that launched the career of Ricky Gervais in 2001 and Steve Carell was the American counterpart, Michael Scott. People absolutely loved the show, and they still watch reruns today.
There is a new series from Australia that will be approaching things in a different way. The managing director of the Sydney base package company, Hannah Howard, is going to be played by Felicity Ward. There will not be a man taking the role of boss in the show.
Howard is also going to attempt to win her employees over by girlbossing. There are also going to be similar characters to Jim, Pam, and Dwight.
After seeing the trailer, many people are saying that it may be best to pull the plug on the show before it starts. Some are predicting that it is going to be canceled after the first season and others say that they are trying too hard to be funny.
You never know what’s going to happen until the show hits the airways, but this one may be doomed from the start.
