A New Schedule For Classic Christmas Specials Has Been Released By CBS

It’s hard to believe that it is almost December and along with the cold weather, we also have some traditional holiday activities to look forward to. Some of it is going to involve going to the store and buying gifts or maybe this year, doing some serious online shopping. You might also enjoy putting up some holiday decorations, as it can really put you in a festive mood. There is one particular activity that is associated with Christmas, however, that all of us can get into. Watching Christmas movies!

Since most of us are going to be staying home this year for Christmas, there is nothing quite like curling up on the couch, grabbing your favorite blanket and some snacks and binge-watching some Christmas shows. Channels are starting to release their holiday programming schedules, but CBS is taking things to the next level with a schedule of what their viewers can expect in November and December. As part of their announcement, about half a dozen holiday shows are on the list. It may not be jampacked with Christmas shows, but the quality is excellent and there are some that you certainly will not want to miss.

You can see the schedule for yourself below:

Friday, Nov. 27

8 p.m. — “Frosty the Snowman”
8:30 p.m. — “Frosty Returns”

Saturday, Nov. 28

8 p.m. — “Robbie the Reindeer: Hooves of Fire”
8:30 p.m. — “Robbie the Reindeer: Legend of the Lost Tribe”
9 p.m. — “The Story of Santa Claus”

Tuesday, Dec. 1

8 p.m. — “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”

It’s hard to believe that Rudolph the red nose reindeer will be in its 56th consecutive year on the network. It is the longest continuously running Christmas show in the history of television.

The network is also showing a few additional movies along with those old classics. In 1999, “Robbie the Reindeer” movies debuted in the UK. It talks about the adventures of Rudolph’s son, Robbie. He is trying to join the reindeer team, just like his dad. In the American version, the voices of Ben Stiller, Jim Belushi, Hugh Grant and Britney Spears can be heard. Another cartoon musical that got its start in 1996 and includes voices of Betty White, Ed Asner and Tim Curry is “The Story of Santa Claus”

Looks like December 2020 is going to be a great month!
