A Mini Movie about a Troubled Child Going to a Foster Home

The family arrangement has been part of the human race for thousands of years. There are many of us who grew up in what may be called a traditional family. It included a father, mother and perhaps brothers and sisters. Things tended to go fairly well in such family and we appreciate all that our parents were able to do for us. Sure, there are always going to be problems in any type of home but it may be possible to limit some of those problems by simply living what may be considered a normal life.

All of us are aware of the fact that the traditional family is not always going to be the normal family. Far too many children grow up in families that have such strong problems that it can lead them down the wrong path. They may end up with depression, or they may feel angry and resentful over the way that they were raised. The same is true of those who grow up in a foster family, and although many foster parents do their best and have the best intentions, permanent relationships do not come easy when you are taking someone from a non-traditional atmosphere.

If you have ever wondered what it may be like living in foster care, then this short movie can show you more then you may ever have realized. It is also perfect for anybody who wants to just have their eyes opened as to the experiences that these children may have in life. The movie is ‘ReMoved’, by Nathaniel Matanick. It goes along with the young girl as she was taken from a dysfunctional home and away from her baby brother and ended up in foster care.

When I first watch this video, I thought that I would be able to handle it without any problem. What I wasn’t prepared for was the range of emotions that would be experienced throughout the movie. It put you right in the plot and you get a ringside seat for everything that happens. It’s more than just a story, it’s something that happens to children every day.
