Chick-fil-A Manager Stops What He’s Doing To Go Outside And Help 96 Year Old WWII Vet

If there’s one thing that you probably know about Chick-fil-A, it’s the fact that the customer service seems to be second to none. As a matter of fact, it seems as if they will go out of their way to hire individuals who are able to make a good impression on anyone who walks through the door. It starts with them being polite, saying thank you or ‘my pleasure’ and they always treat their customers as if they are the most important person in the world. It’s the customer service that has really made them so popular.

In Maryland, there is a Chick-fil-A restaurant and one employee has gone above and beyond when it comes to customer service. He is a manager at that particular Chick-fil-A and he is doing more than delivering good food to the customers. He also takes care of the customers in ways that really stand out, including taking care of a particular customer who came up to the register and said that they needed help. Some managers may have felt sorry for him but this manager took things to the next level and actually did something for him.

It happened one morning when Mr. Lee came into the store. The manager, Daryl Howard saw the 96-year-old World War II veteran and recognized him as a regular customer. The employees all knew him but it wasn’t his usual request of a coffee and a chicken biscuit. He came up to tell them he had a flat tire.

The co-manager, Rudy Somoza said that Mr. Lee was “shaking, almost in tears saying he barely made it to the store on three tires because one was bad.” It turns out that Howard didn’t allow him to just stand there concerned about his car, he got to work quickly.

Howard went outside to change the tire on his car. Rudy decided that it was too much to let pass by so he took a picture and posted the act of kindness on the Internet. It seems as if this type of kindness is something that Howard is well known for.

It took about 15 minutes for him to change the tire and the kind gesture made his day. After having his tire was changed, Mr. Lee came back into his favorite restaurant and got his chicken biscuit before driving home.
