90-Yr-Old Actor Who Was In 200 Movies And TV Shows Has Passed Away

It’s always a sad moment when a beloved actor dies. Entertainment is so important to us and the fact that they are there to provide entertainment means that millions of people know them.

Unfortunately, one of the actors who has appeared in almost 200 films and TV shows, Bill Cobbs, has passed away. He was 90 years old when he died at his Riverside, California home.

As of yet, there has been no indication as to what caused his death. It was made public, however, when his brother shared news of his passing.

“We are saddened to share the passing of Bill Cobbs. On Tuesday, June 25, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in California. A beloved partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather and friend, Bill recently and happily celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by cherished loved ones. As a family we are comforted knowing Bill has found peace and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father. We ask for your prayers and encouragement during this time.”

Bill Cobbs was a part of our lives for some five decades. He was in a number of popular movies, including Night at the Museum, The Bodyguard, and Demolition Man. You might also remember him from his television appearances, such as on The Sopranos, the West Wing, and One Tree Hill.

He certainly was not a typecast character and he played a wide variety of parts. Whether he was an authority figure or a mentor within the scene, he provided a presence that made him a memorable part of every show he appeared in.

He even won an Emmy for the Children’s TV Show “Dino Dana” where he played the elderly neighbor.

May he rest in peace.
