Have you ever seen a young child dance? It really doesn’t matter if they are skilled or not, it’s a beautiful thing to see. As we get older, however, we tend to separate ourselves into different categories. Some of us are able to dance beautifully and we may even be able to entertain thousands of people but others are limited to dancing ‘like nobody’s watching’. There really isn’t any middleground, but as we get older, we may have to retire from one group to the other. There is no doubt that dancing takes a lot of stamina and a younger individual can show us just how beautiful dancing can be. On the other hand, there really are no limits and Suzelle Poole is here to prove it.
Although this woman is 80 years old, she is able to dance in such a beautiful way that we suddenly realize age is nothing more than a number. Now that she has reached her golden years, she is doing more than simply retiring to a rocking chair and watching the world go by. She is still active in the ballet, but it is more than dancing as a professional. She also works with choreographing and teaching dance to others. I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine anyone who is a better choice to teach a youngster how to be perfect when they are on the dance floor.
In order to think back to when Suzelle was born, you would have to think back to World War II. It was 1940 when she was born in England and she even remembers when her backyard was bombed by enemy planes. Eventually, her family was able to move to Canada and that is where she learned just how talented she was on the dance floor.
Later, the family moved to Houston, Texas and that is where she still takes care of young children who come into her dance studio. She knows that they are just getting their start but she sees something special in each and every one of those young dancers. Watch more for yourself when you see her perform in this video:
