We sometimes hear about amazing things that take place and at times, the story may be so phenomenal that it is difficult to believe. I know that all of us realize that the news tends to make things stand out in order to gain viewers but at the same time, there are some interesting things out there that are just too amazing for them to be untrue. I think that’s how many people feel when they hear about Casey Hathaway, a 3-year-old boy who disappeared from his grandmother’s home in North Carolina. As you can imagine, it was a situation that caused everybody in the family to panic.
After Casey disappeared, they started searching in the area but they couldn’t find the toddler anywhere. The police were called and but it didn’t seem as if anybody was all too optimistic about the odds of finding the little boy in the middle of the winter. After all, it was freezing cold in North Carolina and as the day turned into night and even the next day, the odds of finding the little boy diminished. It was the middle of January and Casey was not properly dressed to handle such a difficult situation.
That is when a miracle took place. Casey was found in a thicket of bushes 2 days after disappearing and he was alive! You may wonder how this is possible, but it seems as if Casey has the story. According to Breana Hathaway, his aunt, the boy said that a bear kept him warm.
Casey is healthy, smiling, and talking,” Breana Hathaway wrote on Facebook. “He said he hung out with a bear for two days. God sent him a friend to keep him safe. God is (a) good God. Miracles do happen.”
Although nobody is truly sure what took place, it is amazing that he was found alive 2 days after being lost in the freezing cold temperatures. Were so glad that this story has a happy ending!
