From the time we are very young, we are taught some basic science that most of us agree with until the time we are adults. We understand the gravity is a reality and if we throw something into the air, it’s going to come crashing to the ground again. We also realize that many of the scientific realities are also mathematically proven so we do our best to understand them and to live with them.
Then again, every once in a while, there are some people who tend to shake things up and go against the grain. Even though something may have been a fact for hundreds or perhaps even thousands of years, they do everything they can to disprove the theory. An example of this is the belief that the earth is round. Believe it or not, there are many people who feel that it is nothing more than a conspiracy and they might believe the earth is flat or perhaps even that it is shaped like a donut. Then again, there are many people who try to disprove gravity as well. Go figure.
We’ve all seen the pictures of Earth from space and if we’ve flown in the plane, we may even have looked out and noticed that there is a curve to the horizon. Perhaps we have even watched ships as they came to shore and began to appear as they entered over the horizon as well.
