107-Year-Old Woman Beats Coronavirus After Surviving The Spanish Flu As A Young Girl

We are dealing with times that many people regularly call unprecedented. To be certain, it is something that many of us have never gone through before because we’ve never seen this level of quarantine and all the problems that go along with it. Even though much of the news is bad in this regard, there are some good things that we hear every once in a while. This includes what happened to Anna Del Priore, a 107-year-old New Jersey woman who is dancing in the streets after beating Covid-19.

The reason why this is so impressive is not just because she was able to beat the coronavirus, it’s because she was also only 6 years old when she beat the Spanish flu. That occurred in 1918, so the days that she is living in are not necessarily all that unprecedented. After being raised in Brooklyn, New York, she has lived at an assisted living facility in New Jersey since 2013. On September 5, she celebrated her 108th birthday.

Speaking with Inside Edition, Anna said: “God helped me be strong. I’ve got good friends and I’m healthy.” That’s great news, considering that Anna’s family was called in May after she tested positive for Covid-19.

“I thought that this might be the thing that was going to take her down this time,” said Anna’s granddaughter, Darlene Jasmine.

Like many people who suffer from coronavirus, Anna had a fever and a cough. Some of the more difficult symptoms never showed up in her case, perhaps because she had a very strong spirit.

“Everyone was just amazed that she’s a survivor of two pandemics,” said Laura Halle, her primary caretaker.

After being asked about her secret to a long and healthy life, she simply said that she eats hot peppers. She is also active and would walk a mile every day to meet friends at a McDonald’s. She continued to do so until she was 100.

As it turns out, strong genes run in the family because she also has a 105-year-old sister living in Queens that also successfully came through Covid-19.
