She Bought This Old Teddy Bear At A Garage Sale But When She Hears It Talk, Her Heart Drops

Something that many people enjoy doing on a regular basis is looking through garage sales. It just seems as if there is always some type of treasure to be found, regardless of whether it is one man’s junk or not. Sometimes, you have one of those rare finds and you may even be able to flip it for a profit. At other times, you may find something that you realize should not have been sold in the first place. That was the case with this day at a yard sale.

A six-year-old girl, Amaya was at a neighbor’s garage sale when she found an old teddy bear. She brought the teddy bear home but they soon discovered something that would change the way that they felt about the purchase. The family dog stepped on the teddy bear accidentally and suddenly, a voice started playing. It wasn’t just any voice, however, it was a recording from a soldier in Afghanistan.

As it turns out, the soldier had been fighting in Afghanistan when he sent this teddy bear to his family. He recorded the message to wish them a Merry Christmas. At the end of the message, he said that he loved them and would be seeing them soon.

Amanda heard the message and her heart immediately sank. She knew the importance of what the message had to say because her husband is a Marine. That is when she determined in her heart that the bear would be returned to its rightful owner. Unfortunately, nobody knew who that owner was. That is when she turned to social media.

Amanda started asking people for help on Facebook so that the story could be spread about this anonymous bear. She even appeared on Good Morning America, trying to get the word out even further. Quite obviously, she is somebody who is determined to find the owner.

After repeated attempts of trying to get in touch with the manufacturer, she still continues empty-handed. Her call still goes out for people to share this video and to hopefully reach those who are able to find the soldier once and for all.
