Officer Eats Alone Until A Cute Little Girl Comes Up And Asks Him Question

We often see police officers when we are out and about for the day. They pass us in their cars and sometimes, we see them taking care of something at an accident. For the most part, we don’t tend to give them much thought, unless we need to call on them for assistance but, even when they are not doing something specific, they are still there for us if needed.

Sgt. Steven Dearth was recently on duty and was having some dinner at Panera Bread and he was by himself. It was break time, so he was taking advantage of it. As it turns out, there was also a 4-year-old girl eating there with her mother and she wanted to go meet the officer. That meeting was the cutest thing anyone had seen and fortunately, it was caught on the security video at the restaurant.

“When a new 4-year-old friend we just met wants to sit with us on a dinner break. A very adorable and very outgoing Lillian with Sgt. Steven Dearth having the best dinner date ever,” wrote the Hingham Police Department wrote on Facebook, along with the surveillance photo age provided by Panera Bread.

Dearth said that the little girl had come up to him and said hi. She wanted to know if she could eat dinner with him. As you can imagine, he was all too willing to accept and they had a nice meal together.

When they had finished their meal, he gave her a sticker to make her an official member of the Junior Police department and agreed to have a play date with her in a few days.

When the police department posted the video and this picture online, the internet went crazy for it. They couldn’t believe how cute the little girl was and how big her heart is for going up and sitting with this officer.

We hope that they enjoyed the dinner and are able to get together again soon.
