Little Girl Gets Bullied At School So He Serenades Her With Bruno Mars

Did you ever have to move to a new area when you were a child? We may have a number of stressful things that we deal with in our younger years but when we find ourselves in a strange area around people that we don’t know, it can be one of the more stressful things we ever experience. Some children even need to move on multiple occasions and they may find themselves in a new school system every couple of years. This is especially a problem when the children are very young and they may have to deal with a little bullying.

Being the new kid in town can always be a stressful problem so many children try to make a single friend so that they have a touch point where they can return to when they have a difficulty. Perhaps that is what the little girl in El Paso, Texas was experiencing when she moved to a new school. She was a cute little blonde girl but she was having difficulty making new friends. She tried to be friendly to everyone but it was only one little boy who decided to step up to the plate and become her new ‘best friend’.

One day, some girls were mean to her at school.

This little girl went home upset so she decided to call her new best friend to get cheered up a little. The little boy went above and beyond when it came to cheering her up. He talked to his mom, Ruby Jimenez and she agreed to drive him over to her house.

Once he was at her house, he turned on his favorite song. It was a Bruno Mars song, ‘Count on Me’ and he stood there in the driveway answer and serenaded his new friend.

The little boy was singing along with the music on his mom’s car stereo as the little girl looked on. He did a great job of delivering each line just right and his facial expressions said that he was feeling it as well.

The lyrics to the song were perfect and each word was probably just what she needed to hear.

“Find out what we’re made of
When we are called to help our friends in need
You can count on me like one two three
I’ll be there
And I know when I need it I can count on you like four three two
You’ll be there
‘Cause that’s what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah”

When the song is over, he rushes in and gives her a big hug.

Ruby was so touched by what her son did that she shared the video on Facebook. It went viral, as it should. Everybody was so touched by what this child did for his new friend and we hope that it inspires others to do the same.
