Lady With Missing Limb Gets The Most Adorable Reaction After Trying To ‘Fist Bump’ 1-Year-Old Boy

It doesn’t matter who we are, we all have a desire to connect with others and to be a part of their lives, even if only in a very small sense. Admittedly, we all have differences, and sometimes, those differences are going to make it difficult for us to get along with each other. That being said, it is also important to recognize that having a connection with other people is what motivates us and seeing it happen can motivate us even further.

Perhaps that is why a little boy from Orlando decided to reach out to a 34-year-old lady. They were really strangers, but the one-year-old boy felt an instant connection to her because he saw that they had something in common. It only took a moment for him to size up the situation and he wasn’t about ready to let the moment pass before they had the most amazing encounter with each other.

A nonprofit organization, The Lucky Fin Project was sponsoring an event. It allowed people with missing limbs to meet up with each other on common ground. That is where one-year-old Joseph Tidd comes in. He was about to head home with his parents and he wanted to say goodbye to everyone. He was going around saying goodbye when he found a lady who had the exact same limb abnormality that he had. Joseph was missing his left arm and she was missing her right arm.

Amy Siesel is a mother from Mexico who has an underdeveloped arm. It occurred as a result of a birth defect when her mother took medicine to avoid morning sickness during pregnancy. She saw that the little boy was heading in her direction so she raised up her affected limb and motioned for him to give a fist bump.

Even though Joseph was only a year old, he was able to size things up very quickly. He realized that they had something in common and he went even further than the fist bump, he gave Amy a big hug. She was overcome with emotion.

She held him for a long time, thrilled with the connection that they just made. The young boy was quite comfortable being held by Amy and she was touched that Joseph realized he wasn’t alone.

Amy held on to Joseph and made their affected limbs do the fist bump. Joseph was obviously happy and loved being with his new friend. They were both born with a condition known as Symbrachydactyly. Neither of their arms were developed while they were still in their mother’s womb.

The parents of the young child, Colleen and Miles had taken him to the Lucky Fin Project so that he would realize there were other people in the world just like him.
