Keith Urban Serenades A Dying Fan To Fulfill Her Last Wish

Most people are familiar with Keith Urban because of his music and you may feel as if you know him to a certain extent because he is often in the public eye. Like any celebrity, however, he is putting himself out there for public scrutiny but in the end, he comes through with flying colors. You may love him for his music and the fact that he puts it into your heart but after hearing this story, you will have another reason to love and respect this awesome individual.

Marissa English is what you might call the premier Keith Urban fan. She absolutely loves his music but it goes beyond it because she even sleeps with a T-shirt from one of his concerts on her pillowcase. She even refers to him as ‘Mr. Hottie’ so she was obviously excited when she found out he would be giving a concert in her area.

Unfortunately, Marissa was hospitalized because of health problems and she had to miss the concert, even though she had tickets. That was something in the works, however, that would absolutely amaze her. Before it was over, Keith Urban would be sitting at the foot of her hospital bed and giving her a personal concert.

The nurses at the hospital were the ones who originally came up with the idea. They saw how big of a fan she was and how sad she was that she missed the concert. They started a campaign on social media so that Urban would come to the hospital.

“We knew how important it was to Marissa to be at that concert tonight,” said Jan Cassidy, a nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Ohio, where English was staying, “and since she wasn’t able to we were hoping to try and find some way to have Keith make a connection with her.”

They honestly didn’t expect that it would work but he came through with flying colors. Not only did he come to the hospital, he spent some time talking with English and then sang “Blue Aint’ Your Color,” just for her.

The entire show in Toledo that English was missing that night was even dedicated to her.

“You are a class act,” English’s sister, Madison, told the singer, “and we could never express how much this meant to us today.”
