However, during the long walk down the aisle, one father-of-the-bride decided that the moment was far too big for him not to share with another man — his daughter’s stepfather.

When it comes to important family events like weddings, stepparents are often relegated to background roles while the birth parents take the spotlight. However, this fact doesn’t mean their roles in raising children are any less significant.
And today, one tear-jerker video that’s gone super-viral on social media has folks cheering as a bride’s dad decided to go out of his way to show a bit of respect, appreciation, and love to his daughter’s stepdad.
The video was first shared with TikTok by the bride, Kelsey Griffith, who goes by @griffithk5. She captioned this heartfelt post:
In the video, we see Kelsey and her dad walking down the aisle during her wedding ceremony. But, when they get halfway down the aisle, the bride’s dad steps away from his little girl and grabs her stepfather by the arm.

It appears the stepdad thinks her father’s reaching over for a handshake, which by itself would have been super-classy.
But no, without a word, the father pulls the stepfather to him and insists he take his daughter’s other arm just before both proud dads walk their special lady down the aisle together.
It’s as though he was saying, we did this together.
After the video was posted on TikTok, it gained over 5 million views as folks flooded the comments section with praises for Kelsey and her fantastic family — especially her selfless dad.
