Grandparents Construct Two-Story Harry Potter Playhouse For Grandchildren In Their Backyard

Some awesome grandparents in Ontario, Canada built this amazing two-story Harry Potter themed playhouse fortress as a present to their grandchildren. The two-story 350-square foot playhouse features a remake of Ollivander’s wand shop, the Hogwarts Castle tower, Platform 9 3/4, and Dursleys’ Privet Drive. The intricate level of detail is stunning, and the playhouse has been the talk of their town ever since it was unveiled.

It has a broom-inspired swing set, trampoline, twisting slide, and a secret hatch alongside a wooden bridge which leads to an owlery.
If you go inside the main tower, you’ll notice two beautiful owl-themed armchairs and a ‘Fantastic Beasts’ inspired trunk drawer.

The walls are filled with photos of different characters from the popular series. There’s also a bed located on the second floor for sleepovers.

They even have a cozy fireplace if the children want to relax in the playhouse during the winter season.

Construction time took six weeks for Charmed Playhouses, a firm based in Alberta, to complete the finished product and another three days to set up.

The family would not reveal how much it costs to build this ultimate Harry Potter-themed playhouse, but customers generally pay anywhere between $15,000 to $250,000.

“It got exactly the reaction we’d hoped for. When our granddaughter came out the second time to play, she asked if she could go to ‘her house’,” Dave Dunlop said. “Even a month since it was set up, every time she comes outside, she spends time in it.”

“Gram and her absolutely love to have tea in the little kitchen and lose track of the time,” he continued. “You should see her face when she’s using the playhouse. We’re so thrilled with it.”

These are some very lucky grandkids.
