In May, Dawn French announced via Twitter that she’d dropped off a “brand new haul” of clothing at the Hamoaze House Charity shop in Plymouth.
The shop is on Bishops Place in West How, just next door to the West Hoe Pharmacy.
In her tweet, the Vicar of Dibley star didn’t say what she donated, only that there was a brand new haul of clothes she expected would go very quickly. Dawn began her tweet by showing her love of the city with:
“Hello all Plimuff folk.”
“#janners #greenarmy. ALERT!”
Dawn continued by sharing the location of her secretive haul:
“Brand new haul at HAMOAZE HOUSE CHARITY SHOP. 21, Bishops Place, West Hoe.”
However, she would not share what selections she donated, as fans asked questions such as “any bric-a-brac or just clothes?” However, she did advise fans to “get the quick” before the clothes vanish.
Hamoaze House charity shop directly supports the Hamoaze House, a charity that helps people with drug and alcohol dependency issues.
The charity was founded by Dawn’s late mother, Roma French, and her husband, Mark Bignell, is the Chief Executive.
