What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of a first responder? Many of us think about the brave men and women who are the first to arrive when anything serious occurs. It could be a policeman that rushes in before he even knows what is taking place or it may be a paramedic who is there to help someone who has a serious medical condition. One other first responder that certainly deserves our respect is the firefighter, but they sometimes get our attention in different ways.
Firefighter calendars are very popular and it typically shows the best of the best firemen with their shirts off and posing in a provocative way. Since 1993, the Australian firefighter’s calendar has done similar but in a way that you may not have suspected expected. It is a fundraising calendar that raises money for various charities, including the Children’s Hospital Foundation. It is one of the most popular because the firefighters are posing with animals.
