Andrea Bocelli’s Son Sings “Love Me Tender” Cover And The Internet Is Swooning

It isn’t out of the ordinary for a son to do the same thing that their father did for a living. In my family, the typical profession is an electrician and I have a father, grandfather, uncles, and cousins who all work in that field. That is why it really doesn’t surprise many people when they find out that somebody famous has a child that is famous as well. In fact, it may even be expected that they will follow in their father’s footsteps.

This is true of one of the more famous singers who has an incredible set of pipes, Andrea Bocelli. Not only is he an amazing singer, many people feel as if he is the best singer in our modern era and perhaps even of all time. That is why it really doesn’t surprise anyone that Bocelli’s son is just as talented of a singer as he is. In fact, both of his children, Matteo and Amos Bocelli have been featured in his recordings over the past several years and they have done fantastically.

One of the collaborations of musical talents can be heard in the album “Sí”. Andrea and Matteo sing ‘Fall on Me’ and they do it in both Italian and English. They have different voices but they are very similar in many ways. Andrea explains it this way:

“Technically they are very different, but there is one thing that makes them most similar: the attitude. That characteristic way of expressing yourself through your voice. This makes Matteo and I very similar. But that is something that you cannot learn, that cannot be taught. That is something you are born with.”

When you watch the video below, you can certainly hear the similarity and it comes through very clearly. It features a backstage performance of Matteo as he sings a heartfelt rendition of Love Me Tender, a 1956 hit from Elvis. You might even be surprised to learn that Andrea sang the same song in his ‘Passione’ album from 2013.

Matteo is only 20 years old in the video and he had an impressive set of pipes back then.

You can hear the warm up session here. It’s amazing that somebody would have this much talent:
