97-Year-Old Betty White Says Drink Vodka And Eat Hot Dogs For A Longer Life

When we have any questions about our health, we will often go to our medical providers or perhaps look online at some health publications. Perhaps one of the most common questions that people have is about longevity and we all want to live a long and happy life. When you look at some of the people who have lived the longest, however, you may recognize that they don’t always follow the advice of their doctors in the strictest sense. It is often their personality and habits that do the trick.

That is the case with Betty White and she also has reasons why she says she has been around for so many years. On January 17, she celebrated her 97th birthday and do you want to know what her secret to a long life is? She says it is her love of vodka and hotdogs that has kept her around and spunky for so long. In fact, she gave an interview that said it was a positive attitude that really made the difference as well:

“Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”

She has been a big part of the entertainment industry and her life has been one that touched many other lives. The optimism that she has also followed through to her crush on Robert Redford and she still hopes that she is able to see that one come true at some point in her life.

The oldest living man in America was Richard Overton but he passed away in December. He also had an interesting bit of advice for anyone who wants to find the fountain of youth. He loved whiskey and ice cream.

I don’t know about you but I’m sensing a common theme between these two individuals. Perhaps it is time for me to rethink some of my decisions in life as well.

For now, let’s enjoy a little bit of Betty White by watching some of her funniest moments in this video:
