One of the best side effects of the internet is all of the heartwarming and inspirational videos of folks doing nice deeds for others. Sure, the internet is also filled with videos of folks doing pretty rotten and despicable things, but if you look around, you come to realize that there’s a lot more good being shown out there than most of us give credit for. Thanks to camera phones, small, everyday acts of kindness are being shown to the world for the first time, inspiring more people to follow suit. There’s even a term for this behavior called “paying it forward.”
Some of the folks who practice paying it forward are big names in the entertainment industry. More and more, we see celebrities give back to their fans and to the world as a whole through many different kinds of wonderful acts of kindness. For instance, Hollywood megastar Johnny Depp was said to visit Children’s hospitals on a few occasions dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow from Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. In fact, the actor once told E! News that he always made sure to have his costume with him at all times. “Sometimes you go to kiddie hospitals and things like that,” and added, “I’ll just sneak in and go and surprise a bunch of kiddies through the different wards. …It basically turns into a two-, three-hour improvisation, and it’s really fun. So I travel with Captain Jack.” In this video, we see Maroon five drop in on two very lucky newlyweds on their wedding day for a surprise performance, which became the music video for their song “Sugar.”

The video begins showing the names of the bride and groom, Melanie and Ryan, who were getting married on December 6, 2014. As the camera pans around the venue, we see beautiful chandeliers and lights hung up in a very cozy and intimate setting. We also hear the ordained minster reading the wedding vows and soon see the happy couple as they prepare to say “I do.” During the video, we hear Marron 5 singing in the background, and see different scenes from Melanie and Ryan’s wedding showing the couple laughing with friends and family. And toward’s the end, we see the happy couple standing before a big white curtain as they are about to receive the wedding gift of a lifetime.
