Aquaman Star Jason Momoa Gives His Magic Trident to 7-Year-Old Fan with Cancer

We’re a country that is obsessed with celebrities, and many people focus on the scandals involved with these high-profile people. While it’s easy to watch with morbid fascination as they do outrageous things, sometimes we can forget that at the heart of them, these people are just that: human beings with hearts, feelings, and the desire to do their best in life. It’s really amazing when a person who finds themself in a position of power and celebrity uses those gifts to do good things for other people. We see it time and again, the superstars who use their fortune, fame, and time to make a difference in people’s lives.

One such person is actor Jason  Momoa, who has another side to being just a superstar sex symbol. Momoa rose to fame starring in the hit series “Game of Thrones,” where he played the legendary Khal Drogo. The character wasn’t a warm cuddly type, but when he revealed his sensitivity, it stole all of our hearts, and the heart of his queen, forever. These days, Momoa has made a name for himself as Aquaman for DC Comics. His success in this role is quite phenomenal in many ways. If you’re not familiar with the character, Aquaman is usually regarded as a Z-list superhero.

Aquaman’s main superpower is being able to speak to fish. Not exactly a glamorous superhero, by the standards of most comic fans. For example, in past years, the Aquaman toy would be the last one left on the shelf at the end of the holiday shopping rush. However, thanks to Momoa’s performance in the role, there are tons of new Aquaman fans who adore his character even more than some of the bigger names like Batman and Superman.

One superfan is a seven-year-old boy named Danny, who is fighting a battle with cancer. Momoa recently shared a video in which he gave his young superfan a huge surprise. He personally Facetimed with the little boy, delighting both the child and his parents. When Momoa first heard about Danny’s story, he fell in love with the little guy’s joyous reaction in a video that his parents shot. In the video, the little boy is seen opening a gift that was the new Aquaman action figure.

Once he saw that video, Jason couldn’t wait to do something extra special for Danny. He thanked his Instagram community for reaching out and showing him the video, and he shouted out to Warner Brothers to “get Danny an Aquaman trident.”

Not only did Danny get his trident, but Momoa even put a personal and super special note in the package signed “Uncle Aquaman.”

Just look at the joy on this little boy’s face.
