There is a common perception among many people who enjoy jokes, and that is if you aren’t telling a long joke, you really aren’t saying anything funny. Nothing could be further from the truth. Now, don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good story as much as the next guy but that doesn’t mean that you are going to steer me away from a funny joke if it only takes a few moments to tell it. After all, the goal is to make people laugh, and that is exactly what these short stories do.
1.
The child and her mother:
A curious child asked her mother: “Mommy, why are some of your hairs turning grey?”
The mother tried to use this occasion to teach her child: “It is because of you, dear. Every bad action of yours will turn one of my hairs grey!”
The child replied innocently: “Now I know why grandmother has only grey hairs on her head.”

When the grieving widow checked her email, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint.
At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:
Dearest Wife,
Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow.
