Comedy may take on many different faces and I’m sure that we each have our own, personal favorite. One thing is certain, when we enjoy something funny and it makes us laugh, it makes us feel good from the inside out. They sometimes even say that laughter is the best medicine and, although I don’t think that it would solve all of our problems, it sure wouldn’t hurt to make us feel better from time to time. Every once in a while, there is somebody who stands head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to bringing us something funny.
One of those individuals is Robin Williams and although he is no longer with us, his legacy continues to live on through his videos. Robin Williams was more than a comedian, he was somebody who performed on many different levels. This included acting with the ability to make us laugh and cry as well as being a decent person to many individuals. Although it was his comedy that really took us in and made us a fan, we came to realize that he was much more than just a standup routine.
Some comedians will have everything about their routine planned out long in advance. That wasn’t the case with Robin Williams, however, and he had the ability to go up without a script and stay funny the entire time. It didn’t matter what the subject was, he had the ability to make us laugh and he could always find the humor in any situation.
There were times that Robin Williams got a little carried away with his comedy and he needed to be censored on television. He still was able to do much on TV, however, and his comedy routines live on long after he is gone. That includes this routine where Robin Williams stands up as the American flag. It is sure to keep you laughing from beginning to end.
