It’s Official, Mike Myers Confirms The Making Of Austin Powers 4

There have been many sensational movies over the years but for any fans of the 60s, regardless of whether you grew up with them or not, you will have a difficult time beating Austin Powers. His movies are totally Shagadelic and I don’t know anyone who would argue. In fact, I was quite upset when I found out that the third Austin Powers movie was going to be the final one but my life just got a lot better.

The star of the show, Mike Myers, has confirmed that a new Austin Powers film is in the making. I have to say, this is one of the best things that I have heard in a long time. This confirmation means that I will be heading to the movie theater and laughing my head off at yet another classic movie. It seems as if anything Mike Myers touches turns to gold, and when Austin Powers is involved, you better believe it is going to be epic.

According to some insiders, Myers said: “You’re going to see Dr. Evil soon, somewhere in the culture.” In other words, the International Man of Mystery is returning to the silver screen and we couldn’t be happier.

“There are only two things I can’t stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people’s cultures… and the Dutch.”

Myers was recently seen acting in the upcoming movie about Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody. He worked along with Rami Malek, who portrays Freddie Mercury.

He is also seen on the reboot of The Gong Show, where he plays host Tommy Maitland, a character that is full of facial prosthetics. He made up that character on his own.

What has he been doing since the first three movies? “You know, I’ve been very… I’ve had three kids in the last six years and that’s sort of where my focus has been.”

So does Myers prefer being a family man or being the funniest spy on earth? He didn’t really answer it directly but he did say, “I love doing all the characters and it’s a non-stop party when we’re shooting. It’s fun.”

Anybody who has been waiting for a new Austin Powers movie since 2002 is about to have their world changed. The trilogy, which ended with Goldmember may have seemed as if it was stuck in position but Myers explains why it took so long to come out with the new one. “They take a long time to write, they always have.”

When you consider all that the movies are full of one hilarious line after another, it is easy to see why that is the case. Think about the fact that the last film was out 16 years ago and we are still quoting it today.

“Don’t mess with me. I’m one crazy mo-fo. I had to pop a cop cause he wasn’t giving me my props in Oaktown. No? I’ve heard that somewhere.”

Unfortunately, Verne Troyer (Mini-Me) is not going to be joining the cast because he passed away in April at the age of 49. At only 2’8″, he was one of the smallest men in the world and was known for his comedy and his ability to do some awesome stunts.

All of us will miss him in the movie but it is Myers who will perhaps miss him the most.

“Verne’s legacy is that he was a fantastic comedy actor. And, you know, we wrote it, the part wasn’t much and he made it definitely better than written and we just kept giving him more and more. He was a great stuntman, a great dancer, a great mime and a great human being.”

“A shmoke und a pancake. You know, a flapjack und a shigarette? No? Shigar und a waffle? No? Pipe und a crepe? No? Bong und a blintz? No? Well, then there ish no pleashing you.”

The last time Dr. Evil showed his face it was on an appearance of Jimmy Fallon. We look forward to seeing him again!
