There are many times in life when our days just seem to go as expected and it seems as if there is nothing that would stop it from being just another, average day. Then again, if you look hard enough, you are always going to find something unusual about your day. At times, it may leave you a bit perplexed and perhaps wondering how you could miss something like that if you didn’t pay attention to it. At other times, however, it is an unexpected surprise that just makes you smile.
In the video below, you see an 88-year-old grandmother who is coming out to meet someone in a vehicle. It’s a scene that plays out across the United States and around the world every day countless numbers of times. The difference is, when she comes out of the door, she hears that they’re playing Runaround Sue. She can’t help but dance when she hears the music and she obviously doesn’t care who is watching. She may be 88 years old, but it’s clear to see that she still has a desire to dance and she still has the moves to do it.
Runaround Sue may be an older song but it is also a song that most people are familiar with. It was released in 1961 by Dion, so she was probably in her early 40s when it first came out. We probably all know music that has been around for decades but this song has outlasted many of the others.
There is an old expression that you should dance like nobody’s watching. Although this 88-year-old grandmother still has some good moves, she obviously doesn’t care who was watching.
