When it comes to movies, I’m sure that each of us has our own particular favorites. This isn’t only true of the star in the movie or the theme of the movie, it is also true of the ability of the movie to make us feel good. I’m sure that all of us have experienced the enjoyment of going to the movie theater and feeling completely different by the time we walked out. That is especially true when it comes to a comedy. These movies have the unique gift of making us laugh and sometimes, we watch them over and over again because we just want to continue laughing. Not every comedy is going to be worth watching more than once but some of them will continue to be watched for many years to come.
If we look back a number of years ago, we find a comedy that was well ahead of its time. It is Young Frankenstein, and the combination of actors and the storyline had the ability to make people laugh at the theater and it still does so through video. Gene Wilder was at the top of his game during that time and he had so many funny lines in the movie that it would be difficult to count. Of course, it also helped that Mel Brooks wrote and directed the movie, and he was well known for being able to make people laugh out loud. It was perfection when it was in the theater but a lot of things happened behind the scenes that you may be unaware of.
It would be difficult to make a movie as funny as Young Frankenstein and not laugh when you were doing it. There were so many bloopers that happened during the movie and a lot of scenes did not make the final cut. Fortunately, they were preserved and although they are not seen very often, you do get to see them in the following video.
If you ever saw Young Frankenstein at the theater, you probably remember how much you laughed during the movie. If you’ve never seen the movie before, you will love the following bloopers but you owe it to yourself to rent the movie and watch it immediately. It’s one of the funniest movies you will ever see and you can see the bloopers below:
