Game shows have been a part of our lives for many years. From the time we are young, we enjoy watching them and we probably have a favorite that we could watch over and over again. The thing about game shows is that you can watch them live or in reruns and in either case, they are just as enjoyable. It isn’t only about the guests who come on and try to win the prizes, it’s also about the host of the program and what they have to offer as well. Their personalities often make the show what it is.
Something interesting happens when we watch game shows, and that’s the fact that we get to see people in some rather interesting situations. Most of the people who make it on these game shows do so because they pass a series of tests. For example, if you wanted to make it onto Jeopardy, you would have to show them that you knew enough trivia in order to be a good contestant. Somebody may be great when it comes to answering little questions of trivial matters, but how do they do under pressure? That is the true measure of how somebody is able to handle life on a game show. Sometimes they do well but at other times, not so much.
There is also an issue with game shows because you are dealing with various levels of technology. In some cases, that technology is going to fail and when it happens, it can lead to some rather hilarious issues. From doors not opening to props breaking, there is always something funny that happens on the show. Not all of those bloopers make it to the final cut, but you get to see many of them in the video below.
Some of these game show bloopers are from vintage game shows that may not be on the air any longer. Perhaps you are familiar with some of them, however, because they were staples from the time that we were younger. In any case, it lets you see that game shows were actually a lot funnier than most of us gave them credit for. It’s a lot of fun to watch these bloopers and you can watch them as many times as you like in the following clip:
