Children growing up in these times are missing out on one of the best Christmas traditions I enjoyed as a child, and that’s watching those hilarious and heartwarming Christmas commercials. Today, with ad-free streaming services and DVR, most folks tend to skip these Christmas gems. And that’s such a shame because many companies tend to produce their best commercials of the year around this time, mainly because they expect to get a massive return on their investment as folks do their holiday shopping. But aside from the financial standpoint, these commercials can really ramp up your Christmas spirit engine by tugging on those heartstrings like their’s no tomorrow.
For example, this Bouygues ad shows the progression of the relationship between a father and son. The dad loves to sing and dance for his boy during the Christmas season. As a matter of fact, this dad doesn’t mind breaking out the moves and tuning up his voice anytime, anyplace for his little man. However, as the son grows older, his dad’s theatrics begin to embarrass him a bit in public. But, don’t worry, the commercial doesn’t end on a bummer; in fact, it manages to come full circle in one of the sweetest ways.
