When it comes to humor, I’m sure that we all have our own opinion of what is funny and what is not. After all, they do say that variety is the spice of life and that would include comedy as well. For some people, it might be something rather mild and perhaps a comedian that will not offend anyone with their humor. For others, it might be something that shocks people into laughing. In either case, however, the results are the same. You laugh and you feel good when you do so.
At times, something new is in order to make us laugh but at other times, we might turn to something that has been around for a long time. That is the case with some of the older comedy shows. Sure, it might be tame according to today’s standards but when you stop to look at it, the humor has a timeless appeal. I’m sure that you will agree, funny is funny and sometimes, I think we would all love seeing some good comedy from a classic show is exactly what we need to laugh.
One of those shows that was popular several decades ago was the Carol Burnett show. It was a variety show and they would do skits that often turned out to be the funniest thing we would see all week. It wasn’t only the host of the show who was funny, however, it was all of the regulars, including Tim Conway and Harvey Korman.
In the skit you see below, Tim Conway is doing what he does best, making us laugh. It is one of my favorite skits and I think I could watch it over and over again and still laugh. It wasn’t all about what was said, it was the timing of Tim Conway and how he was always doing his best to make us and the cast laugh.
