In life, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of getting lost in a good, hard, belly-laugh. You know, the kind of laugh that comes deep from within and can take minutes if not hours to subside. Sure, they can leave us sore all over, but it doesn’t matter, because we never regret them. Now, a good laugh can come in many different forms. However, without a doubt, belly laughs beat them all, because these laughs come from within our souls. They are the kind of laughs that leaves us catching our breath as we try our hardest (often in vain) to gain control of ourselves. But, then, we just look at something or someone else who’s laughing, and it just starts right back up again.
Sharing a belly laugh with people creates a sacred bond, unlike anything else. I honestly believe belly laughs are powerful enough to create world peace someday. Once we all can learn to laugh together as one, this world will be a much happier and better place. Now when it comes to belly laughs, researchers have found that men and women tend to do it differently. They say men are more likely to snort or grunt, while women may let loose with some chuckles and giggles. But eventually, everyone’s dam breaks as they descend into full-throated belly laughter. In this clip from 2014, we see Bradley Cooper and Jimmy Fallon sharing a hearty laugh during an interview.
During the interview, Cooper was plugging the “Elephant Man” play in which he was playing the main character, Joseph Merrick. The two men joked a bit about their crazy visors before Cooper tried to segway back to the play by saying, “Anyway…uh…uh…went to London..uh…uh..went to see his bones, and it was amazing. But, uh…” From their the brakes were off the train, folks as these two absolutely lost it for eight and a half straight minutes!
