The human eye is absolutely amazing and if you haven’t taken the time to do at least a little bit of research on it, you are missing out on something phenomenal. It’s interesting to think that the light enters into the eye after being reflected off the surface and it is our brain that deciphers color, shape and shadows. We have no idea what the world actually looks like and the red apple that we see on the table may be different than the red apple somebody else sees when they are standing right beside us.
Yes, it is true that our eyes play tricks on us and we can especially see this with optical illusions. The eye sends information to the brain but it is only able to process so much of that information at one time. When we send too much information to the brain, it is unable to fully process it and it ends up being an optical illusion. There are also times when we may have an optical illusion right in front of us because of the angle or other factors that make it appear as if it is something different. Sometimes we see this in perfectly timed photos or photos that were taken for the specific purpose of making things seem unusual.
