I’m sure that all of us have our own style when it comes to music. We can probably name our favorite singer and our favorite song, but there is something else about music that we probably like as well. It’s the fact that music is put into certain genres, and there is likely one that you would listen to before any others. Of course, the lines are blurred in many cases today when it comes to music styles but there are still some times when we want to hear one particular style, regardless of whether it is rock ‘n’ roll, country and western, the blues or even bluegrass.
One of the styles of music that has certainly developed over the years is country and western. It wasn’t all that long ago that it was a rather closed area and there were very few performers that made it to the top. They also tended to sing a different style of song that we hear with today’s country music, and all you have to do is think about singers such as Johnny Cash and you will see that they had a unique style that was both simplistic and easy to listen to. Another country music singer that was very popular for quite some time was John Denver. I’m sure that you could probably name at least a few of his songs and you might be able to sing along with a number of them as well, including the one in the video below.
The video that you see below is from a John Denver concert, ‘Live from the Wildlife’. The song is probably one of his most famous of all time, Take Me Home, Country Roads. As you watch him playing the guitar and singing the song in the video, you can’t help but sing along with him Word for Word.
Although John Denver died a number of years ago in a plane crash, his music continues to live on today. You will likely hear at least one of his songs on the radio on any given day if you listen to a country music station.
