The phenomenal Lady Gaga is about as accomplished as an artist can get. Her music career began in 2005, but she was dropped by the first record label she signed with. That didn’t slow her down, though. She got back up and reinvented herself, forming herself into the artist we now know and love today. Ironically, when she was in college, some of her fellow students actually created a Facebook group to bully her. The name of the group was “Stefani Germanotta; you will never be famous.” Talk about motivation. If her haters were her motivators, they were very effective without meaning to be.
Since those painful early days, Lady Gaga has gone on to win 11 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award for Best Original Song, an Emmy Award for acting in “American Horror Story,” and two Golden Globe Awards. Like many artists, Lady Gaga pulls from her personal life for her songs. The song “Million Reasons” is about her struggle with finding love. The lyrics address the people who have disappointed her, saying that although they have given her a million reasons to leave, she just needed one good reason to stay. In short, Lady Gaga is like many people who have been disappointed in love. People are willing to give many chances to people who are actually making an effort.
