Josh Groban Joins Broadway Sensation Jen Malenke For A Spirited Rendition Of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’

I’m sure that all of us could think of a few songs that we tend to gravitate toward whenever we are feeling down. Maybe we have even thought about them over the past several days as the world seems to be moving into self-isolation and quarantine. These are the songs that let us know we are not alone and that we can count on our friends and others to make sure that we have what we need, including companionship. Even at a time when we are all practicing social distancing, there is still a lot of power in the songs because they let us know that things are going to be okay.

One of those songs that have been helping individuals for many years is “Bridge over Troubled Water”. It was originally performed by Simon and Garfunkel and I think that it was one of those instant hits that just continued to get better as the years 101. As is often the case with a song of this magnitude, there have been many people who have done their own version of it over the years. Some of them did a fantastic job but others really only did a mediocre job but in either case, it shows how powerful and touching the song is. When you hear somebody that is truly talented singing it, it can give you chills but when you hear it sung by two people that are incredibly talented, it can take your breath away.

Josh Groban is one of those individuals who has a voice that will give you chills every time you hear it. He is considered by many people to be the best singer that is currently entertaining people. In the video that you see below, he is performing along with Jen Malenke and the two of them sound fantastic together.

As is the case with many popular songs, I don’t think that anyone will sing “Bridge over Troubled Water” in quite the same way as Simon and Garfunkel. Josh Groban, however, does a fantastic job of coming close and with the addition of his companion, it may just be closer than most of us would like to admit. Listen to it for yourself in the following video.
