John Krasinski From “The Office” Performs ‘Proud Mary’ and ‘Bye Bye Bye’ on Lip Sync Battle

John Krasinski is best known as Jim Halpert from the hit NBC sitcom “The Office.” Halbert’s character is based on Tim Canterbury, a character from the original U.K version of the Office. The character was named after a childhood friend of Greg Daniels, the show’s executive producer. Halpert was introduced to the show as a sales rep at the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin, who transfers to the Stamford branch during the third season. After the merger of the Stamford and Scranton branches, Halbert becomes the Assistant Regional Manager, then later gets promoted to co-manager working with Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) during the sixth season of the show.

Halbert serves as a mild-mannered, intelligent, straight man to Scott’s insanity.  During the show’s run from 2005 to 2013, Krasinski would also serve as a producer and occasionally direct episodes. Later he would star in the 2009 movie “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men” as well as the 2016 comedy-drama “The Hollars.” In 2018, he would co-write, direct, and star in the critically-acclaimed and commercially successful horror movie “A Quiet Place.”  Currently, Kraniski plays the title role in Amazon’s “Jack Ryan” series. In this video, we get to see Krasinski as we’ve never seen him before as he performs two songs on Lip Sync Battle.

The first song he performs in this video is NSYNC’s pop classic “Bye Bye Bye.” Krasinksi delivers an outrageous performance, mimicking the puppet dance moves used in the music video. He then performs Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary,” and really cranks his inner-diva up to ten!
