A singer is more than somebody with a recognizable voice, they are an artist that uses their voice like a pallet. Although we could all probably sing any tune we wanted, most of us would not be able to sing it in such a way that we would entertain thousands of people. Every once in a while, however, we come across somebody who does have that ability and if everything lines up properly for them, they may be able to take that ability to the next level. One of the individuals who is a good example is Elvis Presley.
The music of Elvis Presley has been around for over half a century. Unfortunately, however, Elvis died many years ago. When you stop to think about how popular he was, however, it is truly amazing that his music continues to live on, long after he has passed from the scene. Even people of the newest generation who never had the opportunity to hear Elvis live are able to recognize his music and some can even do a fairly decent imitation of his music and his style. That would include both the young Elvis and the older Elvis, such as what you see in this video of a concert he gave in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Although Elvis may have had many different concerts and it was a treat to see any one of them, this 1973 concert from Honolulu was one of his most popular. After all, it was more than him just singing to an audience that was on hand that evening, a video was distributed and millions of people have seen it since that time. It was even one of the first concerts that was live cast around the world, something that we see often today.
In this video of Elvis singing ‘You Gave Me a Mountain’, you get to see everything that made him so famous. His looks, his moves, his singing style and thousands of adoring fans are something that he was known for and is still recognized for down till this day.
