Australian Country Line Dancers Knocks Socks Off Millions With Fantastic Performance

Many Americans might find it hard to believe, but country music is trendy worldwide. A few countries outside of the states have even produced some truly incredible country line dancers. For example, in 2013, the South Wales Line Dancing Championships, which are held every year in Sydney, Australia, featured many very talented dancers who gave a lot of American dancers a run for their money and then some! Grabbing the coveted title is no easy feat as the competition is pretty fierce, but one line dancing team managed to steal the show with their mind-blowing performance.

The Team danced to the song “Fake I.D.” by Big and Rich featuring Gretchen Wilson. And, to say they brought the house down would be an understatement! Nigel Mooney owns a YouTube channel where she posts many dance videos. After the competition, she posted a video featuring many of the contest’s performances, and this routine, in particular, caught everyone’s attention. The HotFoot dance team began their performance by gliding their boots across the dance floor then following each other. Meanwhile, six of the dancers executed a synchronized dance line, while the other dancers performed a separate routine around them.

These guys and gals were dressed right out of a wild west movie, which by the way, many, if not most, were actually shot in Australia back in the old days. Maybe this explains the Australian’s continued love or American country-western culture?

Each dancer breezed through the complicated dance steps without taking a breath. The moves were all smooth and seamless as the dancers seemed to be in perfect sync the entire time.

There’s also an event called the NSW Line Dance Ball that takes place every year as well. And each year, they raise money for charity, and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House in Westmead.

Sadly, this year’s ball was canceled because of the pandemic, but the company still managed to raise $10,000 for the charity and on their Facebook page.

“All funds raised go towards the refurbishment and maintenance of the current house at Westmead. In the past, the Ball has raised annually between $18,000 and $22,000. To date, these funds have helped to build a new roof for the house and to refurbish 4 family kitchenettes for example.”

As for the Hotfoot Dance team, their video has pulled in nearly 3 million views on YouTube as many American fans are blown away by this group’s slick country moves.
