There are some people who develop a skill over the course of a lifetime. They may not start out with a lot of talent but if they continue to work on it, they may eventually get good enough that they can do it for others as a form of entertainment. That includes singing. All of us can sing, but not all of us are able to sing in front of a large audience. We might enjoy the sound of our voice when we are in the shower but coming out of a microphone is an entirely different story. That doesn’t mean that we can’t train our voice to sing better, but not all of us take the time to do so.
Although some people may practice singing for years in order to get good at it, there are also some people who are naturally born with the ability to sing beautifully. That includes this 13-year-old girl, Angelina Jordan. She went on the television show, ‘Norway’s Got Talent’ when she was only 7 years old. She did quite well at that young age but she’s back now at 13 years of age and determined to be a champion all over again. This time, she is showing up on ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’. I’m sure she was nervous when she got on stage but that was when the judges noticed she wasn’t wearing shoes.
It seems as if Angelina was not wearing shoes for a specific reason. She had met a young girl that had scars on her feet and was not able to afford shoes of her own. After giving her the shoes off of her own feet, she made the decision that she wouldn’t wear shoes on stage to remind herself of those who don’t have shoes.
After telling her story, she went on to sing Bohemian Rhapsody in a way that only she could do. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen the judges react quite like this and in the end, she got the golden buzzer. You can see the moment for yourself in the following video:
