Watch The Special Moment That Cows Are Let Out After Being Stuck In The Barn For 6 Months

If you live in a part of the world where it is cold in the winter time, you are probably painfully aware of the feeling of being stuck inside of the home. I’ll be the first one to admit that it is nice when the winter first starts. You are inside all toasty and warm while the weather is snowy and cold on the outside. It’s beautiful to look out the windows and soon you retreat to your blanket on the sofa. It isn’t long, however, before you get tired of being stuck indoors.

Apparently, it is not only humans who feel this way but even animals feel similarly. Imagine spending your summers running around in the grassy pastures and breathing the fresh air 24 hours a day. Suddenly, it gets cold in the winter time and you are stuck inside of the barn. That is what many cows experience in the Netherlands. It is so cold in the winter time that they cannot be outside so they are inside where it is warm, but they get cabin fever, just as well as we do.

When the springtime comes and the cows are finally released from the barn, they can’t wait to get outside and run around in the grass again. In fact, it is something magical to see and in Holland and other areas, it is a spectator event.

It usually takes place on a weekend in April. People come out to the farm to watch the cows being left loose for the first time in six months. They just can’t wait to get outside and it is touching to see.

In the video you will see below, the people are kept off to the side behind a roped area. Everybody seems to be in a joyous mood, so we can only imagine how the cows are feeling at this time. Before long, they open the doors to the barn and the cows come bounding outside.

It’s amazing to see the reaction that these cows’ show during that time. It is something that is going to touch your heart and you can see it for yourself in this video:
