This Proud Mama Dog Is Confused When She Gives Birth To 4 Baby Cows!

Life doesn’t always turn out as we would expect it to turn out. Sometimes, it throws us a curve and we can choose to either roll with the punches or we can stand up to it and take the punches directly on the chin. This amazing dog had a surprise but rather than take it on the chin, she is rolling with it and the Internet has fallen in love.

There are few things that we expect to occur in the world around us. Many of them have to do with genetics and we understand when there is a family resemblance that is passed down from one generation to another. This was something that was understood, even before we had an understanding of DNA and all of the science behind genetics that is available today. It is just something that has always been of interest to humans.

This story happened when a rescue dog named Rosie needed help. She came into the County shelter and she was in an advanced stage of pregnancy. As a golden retriever mix, she was able to find her way into a specific rescue. Foster parents were established and they gave her a temporary home where she could recuperate and give birth.

Katie and John Black are no strangers to fostering dogs. Since 2009, they have already fostered well over 20 dogs and they were more than happy to take on Rosie as their next project.

There was something that nobody was expecting, however, and that is for Rosie to give birth to four puppies that defied all logic. They absolutely do not look like their mother! Katie posted the picture online and said, “Not quite what we were expecting. Our foster dog and Golden mix gave birth yesterday. To baby cows.”

Of course, she didn’t actually give birth to cows but the black and white spotted puppies certainly do have a strong resemblance. You have to really wonder what the father looked like!

Since these puppies look so much like cows, they were named Betsy, Clara Bell, Daisy and Moo. There is a lot of questions about what type of dog the father is but, for now, it’s safe to say that he is not a golden retriever.

Rosie will continue to stay with Katie and John temporarily while she nurses the puppies. After they are old enough, they will find their way to a forever home after being adopted. Rosie will also be found a forever home as well.

This certainly isn’t what they were expecting but it’s a lot of fun to see it happening. We’re so glad that they shared these pictures online.
