My wife and I do cat and kitten rescue and we’ve got no shortage of our own feline and canine family members who are with us permanently. One of our little guys is a cat named Bernie, and while we don’t play favorites, it’s true that his funny and mischievous personality gets him a bit more attention than the other cats and dogs demand. When Bernie came to us, he was just about five weeks old and the minute he walked into the house, he owned the place. I said to my wife, “I’ve never seen a more confident kitten.”
Sure enough, Bernie ended up becoming the Alpha even as a little guy. None of the other cats knew quite what to make of him, but they didn’t want to stir up trouble and find out. They were happy to let him be the boss. Bernie’s not afraid of anyone of anything except for one thing: himself. We had a mirror leaning against the freezer in our kitchen one day because my wife was going to repair it. She called me into the kitchen and there was Bernie staring into the mirror at himself and hissing. We’ve never seen his tail so fluffed up. In other words, mirrors can be confusing to our pets.
A couple named Shane and Lindsay lives in Irvine, California with their beloved Golden Retriever, Moose. When Moose was about 10 months old, they shot a video of him playing hide and seek with Shane. The video was completely hilarious and adorable and when they posted it on YouTube, it quickly went viral. Shane was hiding behind the bathroom door calling to Moose, who went bounding into the bathroom looking for him. First, he looked in the shower. Nope, not in there. Then, he went to the mirror. Yep, there he was! Behind the door. However, the confused look on Moose’s face is hysterical.
His reaction is just priceless. Watch this funny video below.
