These Dogs Are Rascals. They Ate The Mail Carrier’s Lunch But A Week Later, She Gets A Letter From Them

What would be the word that you use to describe your dog? For some of us, it may be ‘sweet’ or perhaps ‘precious’. There are going to be times, however, when even the sweetest and most precious dog is going to get into at least a little bit of mischief. When that happens, it is impossible to stay mad at them because they have such cute faces. That is obviously what happened to the owner of Bear and Bull, two adorable black labs that found themselves in a little bit of hot water.

Bear and Bull were adopted by Carol Jordan but she had no idea she would have so much personality on her hand. It seems as if they paired up and it seems as if they have been wreaking havoc ever since. Some of the different things that this duo loves doing include chewing on door jams, dragging drainpipes, and tearing up some lawn equipment. Of course, it is impossible for Carol to stay mad at them because they are so darn adorable.

Something else that these rescue dogs enjoy doing is digging up the garden in their Smithfield, Virginia home. They tend to leave holes all over the yard and it certainly keeps Carol busy when she tries to clean up after them. She says:

“They just can’t help themselves. We never catch them in the act, we just see the destruction afterward.”

Carol is very forgiving when her own things get destroyed but when they start destroying something that belongs to somebody else, it is a whole different story. That is what happened when the postal worker became a victim of their mischievous acts. When it was discovered what happened, Carol decided she wanted to compensate.

The postal worker came to drop off some mail but she made the mistake of leaving her trunk open. Bear and Bull didn’t miss an opportunity that was staring them right in the face. They started investigating to see what was inside and upon returning to her truck, she found the two dogs eating her lunch.

She ended up writing a note Carol describing what had happened but she wasn’t angry over the situation. Rather, she wanted to make sure they didn’t eat anything that would cause a tummy ache. She left a note on the door and continued on her route.

The note read: “Hey! I drove up to deliver a package and both of the dogs crawled in my truck. They got into my lunch and ate an egg and some carrots and pumpkin seeds. I don’t know if that will upset their tummies, just FYI!”

Carol was quite touched when she read the note so she decided to return the kind gesture. She was also a little upset by what her dogs had done so she decided to give something back in a timely manner. They brought her a gift card so she could buy some lunch and an apology note from Bear and Bull.

The note read: “Sorry we ate your lunch. Thank you for sharing! P.S. Our humans said, ‘Thank you’ for leaving a note. We didn’t like the note. We got in trouble.”

It seems as if Bear and Bull have had run-ins with postal workers before. It seems that a FedEx driver had left his door open and they climbed inside the cabin and wouldn’t move. Perhaps they wanted to take the FedEx truck for a drive!

“They don’t really regret anything they do! They will look guilty for a while, but then it is all fun and games with them again.”

One thing is certain, anybody who is delivering packages in Smithfield, Virginia better be on the lookout for this duo. They are cute but don’t let that fool you! LOL
